Community
The Safe Space community brings together parents and professionals who share a commitment to supporting children experiencing parental separation. Participants come from diverse backgrounds and join the community with different experiences and expectations. Some are parents navigating the early stages of separation, while others are professionals working with families or individuals who wish to share their experiences and learn from others.
As in its other projects, PUHU also supports parents and helping professionals in recognising and prioritising their own needs as caregivers. We believe that creating safe and supportive environments for children often begins with strengthening the emotional and psychological resources of the adults around them. Much like the safety instruction on airplanes, putting on our own mask first is an important step in being able to support others effectively.
For this reason, the community develops not only as a learning space but also as a space for mutual support. Participants come together to improve communication with children, better understand their emotional needs, and navigate the challenges of parental separation with greater awareness and confidence. Through shared discussions and collective reflection, the Safe Space community evolves into a learning network where participants support one another and build practical insights together.
