Umay Alkaya is a responsible, highly motivated, reliable, adaptable, and curious psychologist who is able to communicate with different people and have the ability to manage varied workloads, and enjoys the challenge of new tasks. She is a psychologist with experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, psychological testing, trauma studies, migration psychological assessment, and cultural psychology. She has a minor’s degree in anthropology which makes her a critical thinker and a cross-cultural professional. Nurtured by the strength of both disciplines, she has worked with children, women, the LGBT+ community, vulnerable groups, and migrants. She studies Women’s Studies as a graduate student, focusing on underrepresented groups. She has been working at PUHU Research and Consultancy as a project consultant and designs training programs for professionals working with trauma.
